Tags & Folders: Keep Your Links Sorted as You Scale

When you make your first few links, a flat list is fine. Fast-forward a few months — a launch here, a client there, three campaigns running at once — and that list becomes a haystack. Today we're fixing that with tags and folders.

Tags — free, on every plan

Tags are quick free-text labels you stick on a link: launch, client-acme, summer, whatever makes sense to you. Add up to ten per link.

• Colour-coded automatically. Each tag's colour comes from its name, so launch is always the same colour — in your dashboard and in the Zippy app — with nothing to set up.
• One-tap filtering. Click a tag chip and your dashboard shows only links with that tag. Click it again to see everything.
• No fuss. Tags are lowercased and de-duplicated for you, so Launch and launch never split into two.

And yes — tags are free on every plan, Sidekick included. Organization shouldn't be a paywall.

Folders — group a whole campaign

Folders (a.k.a. campaign grouping) are for the bigger picture: a folder holds a whole campaign's, client's, or launch's links in one place. A link lives in one folder; filter your dashboard to just that folder when you want to focus.

• Create a folder right from the ZIP form (+ New folder…).
• File any link into it, move it whenever, filter to it in a tap.
• Delete a folder and your links are safe — they keep redirecting and simply become unfiled. Nothing you do in the dashboard can ever break a live link. (That's the Zippy promise: links that never die.)

Folders are a Hero power. Tags cover the everyday; folders are for when you're running real campaigns.

Pure organization — zero cost to your links

Here's the important part: tags and folders are dashboard-only. They change how you find a link — never how it redirects. They add zero latency, never touch the short link itself, and compose with everything else Zippy does: UTM tags, geo & device routing, password protection. Sort your links however you like; they still open the real app on the other side.

How to use it

Web dashboard: in the ZIP form or a link's editor, add tags (type, Enter) and pick a folder (or make one). Above your link list, click a tag chip or pick a folder to filter.

Mobile app: open a link's detail screen → Organize → add tags and tap a folder to file it. (Create folders on the web dashboard; the app files into the ones you've got.)
