Finally Know Which Post Drove the Clicks: UTM Links for Creators
Zippy's new UTM builder lets you tag any short link with campaign parameters right in the ZIP form — so you can tell which story, reel, or drop actually worked. No spreadsheets.

⚡ Zippy: you post everywhere. now you'll know where it actually landed.
You dropped the same link in a Tuesday story, a Thursday reel, and your bio. Clicks came in. But which one did the work? Until now, Zippy could tell you how many people tapped and whether they opened the real app — not which post sent them. Today that changes: meet the UTM builder.
What UTMs actually are (30 seconds)
A UTM is just a tag you bolt onto the end of a URL — ?utm_source=instagram&utm_campaign=summer_drop — that rides along to the destination. Your analytics (and Zippy's) read those tags and group the traffic by them. Same link, five labels, five buckets of "this is where it came from." That's the whole trick, and every serious marketing tool has had it for years. Now you do too, without leaving the ZIP form.
How it works in Zippy
Open the Campaign tracking (UTM) section under any link and fill in what you need:
- source — where it's posted (
instagram,tiktok,newsletter) - medium — the kind of traffic (
social, story, bio) - campaign — the push it belongs to (
summer_drop,launch_week) - term / content — optional extra splits (e.g. two different story frames)
As you type, Zippy shows you the exact final URL your audience will hit. Hit ZIP and you're done — the tags are baked onto the destination, and your click analytics start rolling them up automatically.
The part nobody else does
Here's the Zippy twist. Your short link never changes. Rename it, re-point it, tweak the UTMs a month later — the link you already posted keeps working, and the tracking updates underneath it. That's the same permanence promise behind every Zippy link: what you shared stays alive, forever.
And because your links open the native app out of the Instagram and TikTok in-app browser, your UTMs aren't measuring taps that died in a webview — they're measuring people who actually landed where you sent them. Clean numbers on real opens.
Try it
Every plan gets the UTM builder — no upsell, because knowing what's working shouldn't be a paywall. All five fields are in the UTM builder docs, and it shipped here in the changelog. Open any link in your Zippy dashboard, expand Campaign tracking, and tag your next drop. Next time someone asks "which post worked?" you'll have the receipt.
